It was nice seeing you at the family reunion last week. I’m sorry that I didn’t get a chance to answer your question about my profession, so let me take the time to explain to you what Public Relations is about.
PR is about getting information to the public. I can be representing a Fortune 500 company, to a Non-Profit organization, their is one major goal in PR, and that is to relay information to the public about the client’s you are representing. PR is a form of communication, and it is extremely important that you possess good writing skills. PR writing is a precise form of communication. Your main objective is to capture the publics’ attention.
Sense you know about PR now, I will tell you what I plan on doing in PR. My dream job is working for ESPN. You know my love for sports, and doing PR for ESPN lets me stay involved in sports without coaching.
I hope my letter gives you a better insight on what I do everyday.
I thought you did a very good job on this letter. You did a good job of briefly explaining what PR is and what type of writing it involves. I also really liked the part about your plans to work for ESPN and how you pointed out it is a way to stay involved with something you love.
